Silka Gonzalez is the founder and president of ERMProtect. Since 1998, ERMProtect has provided Information Security and IT risk management services to more than 300 clients in over 20 industries worldwide. Silka has more than 30 years of experience in the field of Cybersecurity. Prior to founding ERMProtect, she was a manager of IT and business services at Price Waterhouse. She also served as Manager of Information Systems Auditing for Diageo PLC and Manager of Information Systems Security for American Bankers Insurance Group (now Assurant Solutions).<\/p>\n

Silka received Bachelor\u2019s degrees in both Computer Information Systems and Accounting from Xavier University. She received her Master\u2019s degree in Accounting Information Systems from Florida International University. Silka also completed an Entrepreneurial Master\u2019s Program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.<\/p>\n

Esteban Orlando Farao is a Director of Consulting for ERMProtect. For more than 20 years, he has led complex IT security assignments for large corporations in Europe, Latin America, Mexico and the United States. Prior to joining ERMProtect in 1998, he worked for PwC in London, leading penetration testing and IT security assignments in various industries (banking, academia, manufacturing, telecommunications). He launched PwC’s penetration testing practice in Argentina and Colombia. At ERMProtect, he founded\/co-founded several of the company’s major practice groups. He has worked on multi-million wire fraud cases, exposed hacker vulnerabilities at major corporations, and identified schemes that include hacks of accounting and concert ticketing systems. With high-level certifications from the Payment Card Industry (PCI), he frequently assists credit-card processing companies to comply with PCI regulations and to investigate in the event of breaches.<\/p>\n

She was an award-winning investigative editor at the San Francisco Chronicle and The Miami Herald, where she led teams awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting and named twice as Pulitzer finalists. She served as Managing Editor of The Miami Herald and the South Florida Business Journal. Judy transitioned into Risk Consulting in 2006, when she joined Kroll Associates as a Managing Director in the Business Intelligence and Investigations division. She worked on\u00a0 complex global fraud and data breach investigations in the U.S., Latin America and China, leading multi-disciplinary teams of former law enforcement officials, forensic computer experts and intelligence analysts. For more than 12 years, she has advised C-suite executives on security and information security matters, and managed several major data breach incidents.<\/p>\n

During his career, he has been an executive in IT security and privacy at major enterprises including State Street Corporation, Double Click, Lehman Brothers, AXA Financial, Valitor and WOW Air.Rey holds a Ph.D. in Information Security from Nova Southeastern University. He also has\u00a0 five Masters\u2019 degrees and a bachelor\u2019s degrees in areas of Information Security and Privacy.
